New York City natives, Little Anthony And The Imperials, were one of the few doo-wop era groups to survive successfully into the soul era. The original group members were Jerome Anthony Gourdine aka Little Anthony, Clarence Collins, Ernest Wright, Nate Rogers, and Tracey Lord. Their debut single was the smash hit, Tears On My Pillow, in 1959. They were a consistent chart maker throughout the 1960's. Hurt So Bad, peaked at #10 on the Cash Box chart, week ending 3/20/65.
