Description
An original accompaniment arrangement of In the Garden, originally attributed to Charles Austin Miles and now in the public domain. Performed and recorded on my Roland RD-700NX.
I know solid music resources can be a challenge for a smaller congregation so I'm happy to make this available to you! So whether you're looking to learn a new song or need a worship video complete with lyrics for your Sunday morning service, enjoy!
This recording is how I would play it Sunday morning for a congregation to sing to. And since I won't be playing melody this time around, sing along!
Arrangement:
1. 4-bar intro
2. Verse 1
3. Chorus
4. Verse 2
5. Chorus
6. Verse 3
7. Chorus
Performance Notes
a) In F sharp (to try to put it in a key accessible by most males and females).
a) Each fermata is timed to be 3 extra 1/8 beats (so it should be fairly easy to count even during the dropouts to ensure we stay together!) :)

VERSE 1
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
CHORUS
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
VERSE 2
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
VERSE 3
I'd stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling
But He bids me go through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
