Anytime I write and record a remix, my objective is to pay tribute to a respected and successful artist by creating my interpretation of their original song.
With "In Yo Face", I avoided listening to the original version and was able to study the vocal tracks only... In doing so, I was able to create rather than recreate...
When I listened to the isolated vocal tracks, I envisioned a hard hitting groove with attitude that constantly was "In Yo Face"... I started with various guitar grooves and built the foundation around that...
The end result is a slamming groove that I believe pays respect to very talented artists, Insane Clown Posse...
