A serious plane crash occurred around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon in Caselle. According to an initial reconstruction, a Frecce Tricolori plane undergoing tests for the performance scheduled for Sunday lost altitude, separated from the formation of the other aircraft with which it was traveling and crashed into the ground near the airport. The images taken by some witnesses show the Freccia catching fire after impacting the ground and, a few seconds before, the pilot being ejected from the cockpit with the parachute. According to initial findings, the plane ended its run off the runway and crashed into some vehicles. A 5-year-old girl died in the dramatic accident. The 9-year-old brother is hospitalized at Regina Margherita with burns, the mother in code yellow is at the CTO and the father and the pilot with burns are in code yellow.
