Description

Hello guys, welcome to our space. Fully musical channel, made exactly FOR YOU!

Humans love music: While there's no obvious biological indication why this happens, new research published in the Journal of Neuroscience, the reason we have this connection to music is a communication between auditory and reward brain circuits. In the study, when the reward circuit was triggered before listening to music, participants felt greater pleasure; while in the reverse situation, when the reward circuit was inhibited, the participants' pleasure decreased. These induced changes in subjects' pleasure were linked to changes in brain activity in the nucleus accumbens, a key region of the reward pathway.

Are you an irreducible jazz fan? Or do you see this genre of music as unbearable, in which, in its most avant-garde forms, you are convinced that each musician is “playing for your side”? It may seem to you that the question has no relevance, but there are studies that conclude that those who like jazz are more intelligent and creative.

An article available on the Elite Daily website (https://bit.ly/3BgN9CL) cites several works that reach these conclusions and refers to researcher William Klemm of Psychology Today, who claims that there are several “cognitive advantages” that enrich the mind while listening to jazz. One of them is the fact that this genre has the power to relieve stress, according to a study carried out by the University of Nevada, in the United States, the birthplace of jazz that resulted from the encounter between musical traditions from Africa and Europe.

Music and stress, argue researchers at that institution, go hand in hand. It is not surprising that the faster tempos are able to make you go up, which happens when you hear a song that makes a person jump off the couch and start jumping, while the slower tempos, like those that constitute the standard in jazz, manage to relax your mind and body. William Klemm also traces a relationship between the ability to study and stress, considering that this is the “arche-enemy of memory”. Conclusion? The Elite Daily article reports that listening to jazz lowers stress levels, which helps to absorb and retain information.

Another advantage of listening to jazz is that it stimulates the brain. The rhythmic patterns of the genre, sometimes faster and more powerful, but less obvious, lead the mind to mimic improvisation, which activates the same region of the brain that commands language. This situation means that music ends up being an exercise that improves intellectual performance, knowing that the brain works like muscles: it needs activity to stay in shape.

Finally, jazz encourages creativity. Because? Elite Daily guarantees that “ambient noise” improves creative abilities, although it mentions not only the genre of music being listened to, but also the volume as relevant. A moderate volume is the “optimal” level. As it requires greater concentration effort, it promotes abstract reasoning, forces the brain to do “extra work” and, finally, stimulates “greater creativity”.

I don't know how your day is going, but I'm sure these songs will make your mood much better.

Relax and enjoy! Nothing better than balancing the spirit, the emotional and the physical listening to a good old Jazz.
