For years I have dreamed of touring with a concert flamenco guitar made by master Spanish luthier Felipe Conde. If you have been listening to my albums, you will know their sound. I have had the privilege of owning one of these beautiful instruments since 1997. And it is the sound of every album I've made since Vertigo, back in 1998. But I have never played it in concert, as I was too afraid it might get damaged on the road.

But I've recently changed my mind. I realize that if Yoyo Ma can tour with his Stradivarius, I can damn well tour with a Conde.

So I ordered the guitar last summer and he just finished it earlier this month. I must admit I was quite nervous about picking it up, as every guitar is unique. What would I do if I didn't love this one?
