Description
This multi-talented man was unbelievable! He was an orchestra leader, a Big Band musician, a recording pianist for artists like Dean Martin and Tennessee Earnie Ford, a producer for Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, and Frank Sinatra, a jazz and big band composer, and he also co-wrote "Hello Muddah" aka "Camp Grenada", the comedy smash hit, with Allen Sherman. While doing all of this, he developed an alter-character, Joe "Fingers" Carr, who became a huge success in his own right. In 1956 in the UK, Lou Busch had a #1 hit and Joe "Fingers" Carr had a #6 hit on the charts at the same time. I don't think that's been done before or since. Enjoy!
