Ozomatli recorded and has just released this killer version of Johnny Otis's great 1958 hit song, "Willie and the Hand Jive." This is the first of many cover versions of the songs of Johnny Otis that will become part of the upcoming film, "Who the Hell is Johnny Otis?" Directed and produced by David Zeiger and Mobolaji Olambiwonnu. Stay tuned!

Raul had this to say about Johnny Otis: “My mother used to listen to Johnny Otis on the radio as a teenager, she was introduced to a lot of music this way. I grew up hearing some of those songs while she sang them to herself as she washed the dishes. Just her voice and the running water brings me back. So it was an honor to give the song the Ozo treatment. We hope you dig it!”
