This is a cover of a song by a very good band called The Decemberists.

My name is Alex Dillon and I performed, recorded, mixed, mastered and edited this video for your viewing pleasure. I'm leaving the place I've been calling home for a few years, so I'm making this because it's a bittersweet time in my life. I recorded this in my backyard and I love all the different sounds of nature found in a relatively urban environment. I'm going to miss all of these sounds so I hope they live here in perpetuity.

I've been trying to record this song for literally a full year and it's kind of been my white whale, so now that I have done it I can finally move on with my life.

I hope you enjoy this song and it makes you feel good because it makes me feel good. With that being said it did take me 10 takes to get it just right so that was a little bit frustrating.

I'm playing a Taylor Guitar through a zoom pedal into a fender amp and using 2 mics going into my computer to record this. I did all of the mixing in Reaper. I used Davinci Resolve for the video.
