This song is based on a love story which has many versions.

A young Tibetan girl named Duo Luo (朵洛) had a job selling Songguang (pine tree resin) on the streets of Kangding, a small town in Sichuan. Everyone in the town knew her for being beautiful. When people heard her calling, they looked out of their windows and came outside to admire her beauty.

跑马溜溜的山上，一朵溜溜的云哟, 端端溜溜的照在，康定溜溜的城哟, 月亮弯弯，康定溜溜的城哟,
