Many would agree that Emerson, Lake & Palmer reached the height of their creative power with the album "Brain Salad Surgery". The three-part 30-minute "Karn Evil 9" suite formed the core of that recording with the terrifying cover of "Alien"-designer H.R. Giger. We play an excerpt from this. Getting it to groove was pure joy and a solid piece of work at the same time. But: It was worth it.
