Description
Here is a version (if there are multiple ones) of KLFY TV-10's "Hello Acadiana" image campaign. All copyrights ackonwledged. As I am not from Lafayette, LA, I do not know about some of the nuances regarding this campaign. This campaign goes with "Hello News" by Frank Gari/Gari Communications, which KLFY used from 1979 until 2005, and according to NMSA, features Florence Warner on vocals. This version was on a 1988 tape, and is one of countless ones used by KLFY throughout the 1980s and 1990s and early 2000s.
The start features Ron Howard on USL/ULL/UL Lafayette's campus, Maria Placer bowling, plenty of shots around Lafayette and the rural Cajun area. More information would be appreciated.
Lyrics:
There's a difference in the air,
it's knowing that we care in Acadiana.
Here we dream our yesterdays and tomorrow's Cajun ways in Acadiana.
From the offshore's surging tide to a quiet bayou side in a world of joie de vivre.
From the live oak's cooling shade to the southern sunlight's state
where your good neighbors never leave.
Makes no difference where I go, you're still the best home that I know.
Hello Acadiana, Hello Acadiana, TV-10 loves you!
