KOIAI has two meanings in Japanese: dark indigo and deep love. The group was formed in December 2022 by Li-sa-X, Hazuki, and Kotono after covering. On December 2023, the band's first anniversary, drummer Kanade, who has been supporting the band's live performances for some time, joined as an official member.
