Description
This is a famous Korean folk song about separation, sorrow and love. Originally from a village called Jeongseon in Gangwon-do, it has over 3600 variations of approximately 60 versions, the one sung in this composition is the Standard (Bonjo) Arirang from Seoul.
The word "Arirang" is ambiguous and noone knows for sure what it means, there are many theories. If you're curious, just check the Wikipedia page on it, there's plenty of info regarding the word's origin.
