Diaspora Arts Connection proudly presented its sixth annual event "Let Her Sing 2022: A Celebration of Female Voices" on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at The Blue Shield of California Theater at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. In this video, participants Niaz Nawab, Gelareh Sheibani, and Golazin perform "Sharghie Ghamgin" (Sad Easterner). Originally performed by the late Iranian singer and entertainer Fereydoun Farrokhzad, the song is based on a Greek melody with lyrics by Iraj Janatie Ataie.
