Score following video of the work "Hildegard Sequence: O fire of the spirit" for mixed choir & live electronics. Written by Composer Gustav Lindsten in the summer of 2018.

First performance on the 7th of October at Ersta Kyrka, Stockholm by Gustaf Sjökvist Chamber Choir. Conducted by Florian Benfer.

Programme note:

On the 7th of October the Gustaf Sjökvist chamber choir performed my work ”Hildegard Sequence: O fire of the spirit” for the first time! It is a piece that reflects on composer Hildegard of Bingens’s way of depicting nature in some of her lithurgical texts.

Its been such a wonderful journey composing this piece, and every minute of delving into the work of Hildegard of bingen has been a new Discovery of what sacred music can be for me! The choir is in this piece be accompanied with live-electronics, and through the work you’ll among other things hear processed church bells, whale singing coupled with sounds from a theremin and more. all blended together with the beautiful timbre of Gustaf Sjöqvists chamber choir!
