Thinking about the Sabbath Track "Lord of this World" here. When I was in high school, we affectionately referred to this chord progression as the "Iron Maiden" chord progression because it was in half their tunes! Maybe this is the original source?!

This chord progression is simple: Im bVI bVII (straight from the Aeolian mode). Start with minor pentatonic, add some Aeolian notes for flavor, then perhaps some b5 blues notes for added darkness.
