Los Mirlos are the creators of the Amazon cumbia, one of the many expressions of the Peruvian cumbia. It is a long-standing group, originally from the city of Moyobamba, in the department of San Martín, in Peru, whose jungle origin earned them the nickname "Los Charapas de Oro"
