Description
Mark Mazzatenta plays Keith Jarrett's "Lucky Southern." I played this song on many gigs through the years and wanted to make a video with some improvised ideas. Improvising is great for strengthening technique and quick thinking. As each chord in the song goes by, I'm thinking of the 3 (and sometimes 4) chord tones that make up each harmony. Then I try to connect those notes to make melodic ideas. A difficult challenge, but something you get better at the more you do it!
