Lycoris in bloom! Add these beautiful flowers to your summer garden

Lycoris are in full bloom in our garden and research area, so lets take a look at several varieties! If you are north of zone 7b, these will be of particular interest to you. Lycoris x jinzheniae for example, is hardy to zone 4a (-30F/-34C). A new cultivar we are offering this year is an aptly named tri-specific hybrid - Lycoris x flaveri 'Orange Glow'. Lycoris sprengeri 'Blue Bell' is a rare offering of the most blue colored lycoris in our collection. 'Blue Pearl' is a paler blue-pink cultivar featuring larger flowers. We also discovered that Lycoris flowers have a subtle fragrance that ranges from lily-like to fruity. This video was filmed around 5pm, so the scent may appear in the evening.
