This is a drum cover of a quintessential 80's song. Madonna's Papa Don't Preach.

A song that we all grew up with (as long as you are about my age 😜🤣😜🤣) and still a feel good song to this day. Trying to put the @StaggMusicOfficial Myra's through their paces as the original Myra's always had a reputation for being "heavy sounding" so people always aimed them at heavy rock players, however, these redesigned models are absolutely astonishing and incredibly versatile as you can hear on this track.

The drum sound is flat and direct to the mixer, which is a @presonus Studiolive 24 Series III. Recorded into Presonus Studio One 5 Pro. No processing on the drum channels (12 of them), only a bit of reverb on the Drum FX Channel for a bit of Ambiance. The master out had a @waves L1 Ultramaximizer and @iZotope Ozone Dynamics.

The point is to be as transparent as possible and have a good sound at source. Let me know what you think... whether be the playing or the cymbals or the drum sound.
