Happy Valentine's Day! It's the time to celebrate love, compassion, and your special one! And what better way to celebrate love than taking you special one to the Sonic Movie? Yes, Paramount's much anticipated adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog has finally hit theaters after being delayed from stinking up my birthday month so they could redesign Sonic to look more like Sonic and not an ugly man-hog thing. Hallelujah! I'm really excited to see this flick, after what's been going down with it. I asked my older sister to take me to the theater to see it and we are going tonight at 6:30pm as the movie starts at 7:00pm. I have avoided watching other people's reviews of the movie, so I can go in totally blind and judge the movie for myself. It's gonna be a good end to my week for sure!

Anyways, to celebrate the release of the Sonic movie, I've decided to showcase some Sonic themed ads this Valentine's day! Gots to go fast!

Let's start of with... something that's already on YouTube. The Sonic Heroes Happy Meal tie-in ad. You know, the LCD games that came in our Happy Meals from McDonald's! This is that ad! Now, Sonic is no stranger to McDonald's. He's been having Happy Meals ever since the release of Sonic 3. But since those days of the 2000's, no Sonic Happy Meals have been done. These days, it's his former rival, Mario that gets all the Happy Meal love... But, let's take a trip back to 2004 when Sonic Heroes was the hype thing out there! It got a Happy Meal tie in, featuring LCD games!

We all remember Sonic Heroes, right? That game where you play with a team of 3 Sonic characters at once, zooming through wild zones, smashing Badniks, and it's all awesome? It seems that opinions are mixed on the gameplay and story of the game, but people remember it fondly at the very least. Along with the LCD games promoting the game! Makes sense, right?

So the ad starts of with the Ronald McDonald basketball segment, where the clown helps a girl dunk a basket, then we segue into the Happy Meal portion of the ad.
