"One day my producer asked me to listen to a couple of his beats," Mervin says. "The music came on to a song without a name, and I said, ` yoooo, that's gonna be my song.' I said specifically, `Bro GOD DID IT!' Instantly I asked him to send it to me. The music by itself, was inspiring. I received the music via email later that night and immediately began writing the words to the song. It took me no more than five minutes to write the entire song to which I actually had already named without even knowing it. This song is self-explanatory to me because everything that I have and everything I've achieved in Life is not by my own strength but of the Power of Him, the Great I AM who created me. When it comes to my beautiful wife and children, I can say: GOD DID IT!" When it comes to my ability to preach the Word of God and sing Gospel Music, I can say: GOD DID IT!" and when it comes to me being a Police Officer who works in the school system charged with mentoring and protecting kids, I can say: GOD DID IT!"
