The National Flag Day of the Philippines lasts from May 28 to June 12, the glorious Day of Independence. May 28 is chosen as the first Flag day due to its commemorations of the the first great victory of the Filipino Revolution against the Spanish Empire at the Battle of Alapan, Cavite.
