Η Monika γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1985, με καταγωγή το Άστρος Αρκαδίας. Εξαιτίας της εργασίας του πατέρας της, σε ηλικία πέντε ετών η οικογένεια της μετακόμισε από την Αθήνα στην Κόρινθο, ύστερα στην Λαμία και τέλος στο Καρπενήσι όπου γράφτηκε στο ωδείο της πόλης. Σήμερα ζει στην Αθήνα και έχει σπουδάσει στο Μαθηματικό Αθήνας. Η ενασχόληση της σήμερα με την μουσική οφείλεται κυρίως στον μεγαλύτερο αδελφό της, ο οποίος είχε το γκρουπ Serpentine όταν σπούδαζε στην Πάτρα που έπαιζε με τους Raining Pleasure και τους Closer και την έπαιρνε μαζί του 14 χρονών, ως μέλος του συγκροτήματος του, όπου τραγουδούσε και έπαιζε ηλεκτρική κιθάρα στις συναυλίες τους. Στα 23 της χρόνια, κυκλοφορεί τον πρώτο της επίσημο δίσκο. Η μουσική της είναι με αγγλικό στίχο με επιρροές από Χατζιδάκι, Ennio Morricone, PJ Harvey αλλά και Beatles γνωρίζοντας πρωτοφανή επιτυχία για τα Ελληνικά δεδομένα.
