Los Angeles voice actor and front man for Mrs. Jones' Revenge, Jeff McNeal, pays tribute to Eric Burdon And The Animals once again, with this cover of their classic, psychedelic rock anthem "Monterey".

This is a song that I've wanted to cover for a very long time, but no backing tracks are available. I ran into the same situation with another Animals song, "Help Me Girl", a few years ago, but with the assistance of my band mate, Terry Brown and some talented musician friends in other parts of the world, we re-created that song with a world class, multi-track backing that rivals any commercial studio in the world. Unfortunately, "Help Me Girl" is a very complex song instrument-wise, and can't be replicated live to our standards with my band, Mrs. Jones' Revenge. However, I asked my band mates to take a crack at "Monterey" and this is the result of our first time (ever), playing it together, live in front of an audience, with no rehearsals.
