My attention was drawn to the soundtrack to the 25th film about Agent 007 "No Time to Die". The track is written and performed by seven-time Grammy 2020 winner Billie Eilish and orchestrated by Hanz Zimmer. The characteristic singing style of Billie combined with Zimmer's epicism prompted the composition to a massive "explosion" in the end, but the authors intended otherwise. Such emotional tension made me think of writing something massive and epic, to gather all the impressions from the Bond films I saw earlier into something grand orchestral. Postponing the premiere of the new film to November 2020 in connection with Covid-19 gave me time and additional opportunity to dig more carefully in already familiar to my ears soundtracks of the franchise to create my Unofficial Epic Cover "James Bond Medley". It includes musical themes from films such as “Casino Royale” (04:05), “Skyfall” (02:07), “Specter” (02:58) and, of course, “No Time To Die” (04: 47).
