Here’s another really great up-tempo cover song from my music collection and I’m sending it out across the pond to Angie D, one of my biggest supporters.

The Firebirds’ roots began in the United Kingdom in 1981 and they are currently recognized as one of Europe’s top Rock’n’Roll bands. Group members singing on “MY ANGEL LOVER” are Jim Plummer (lead), Dan Plummer (tenor/bass), Jason Bryant (alto) and Den Hagerty (formally of The Darts) (baritone).

The Firebirds have an intense worldwide touring schedule selling out concert venues and festivals; United Kingdom, all of Europe, Japan and selling out their venues across Brazil. A big highlight for them was their appearances in Las Vegas, Nevada and Memphis, Tennessee in the U.S. They were honored to be invited back again to play the Carl Perkins Civic Centre in Jackson, Tennessee, a huge event commemorating the Sun record label and Elvis Presley.

Besides Doo Wop, The Firebirds perform a complete spectrum of music from the 1950s and 1960s, Pop, Rockabilly, Instrumentals and self-penned compositions. As first-class vocalists and musicians they have also backed some of the great American artists: Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Feathers, Charlie Gracie, Ray Campi and Sleepy La Beefe to name a few and played alongside British greats such as Marti Wilde, Lonnie Donegan and Showaddywaddy.
