I wrote "My Mighty Savior" basically to remind myself and others that Jesus' power to save is more than enough, and can break through the darkest circumstances we face.

The bridge section is my favorite part:

"You're bring us back to the Garden
You tore the veil in two
You're making me a new creation
Old things have passed behold all things are new."

In other words, through Christ God is essentially restoring the original plan of the Garden. "He tore the veil in two" (Matthew 27:51)- opening direct access to God. Previously only the High Priest could enter the Most Holy Place once a year, signifying a separation between God and humanity. And finally, through Christ we are a new creation- old things have passed behold all things are new.

Salvation is not just for entrance into heaven, but also to become a changed person right now!
