"Pretend" written in 1952 by Lew Douglas, Cliff Parman, and Frank Levere was recorded by Nat King Cole with Nelson Riddle and his orchestra on 12/30/1952 and released by Capitol Records as a single. It reached the Billboard magazine Best Seller chart on January 31, 1953, peaking at #3 and was included on the Capitol LP, Unforgetable, released in 1953, available on CD and can also be found on the Capitol CD, Greatest Hits.
