In late June 2020 Eglo Records released ‘Control’, the debut album from Sydney based vocalist Natalie Slade, produced by Hiatus Kaiyote’s Simon Mavin and featuring other members of the Grammy Award winning group. The record received support from tastemakers Gilles Peterson, J.Rocc, Jamz Supanova and Carista amongst others, which in turn caught the attention of Model/Dancer Shaun Ross. After sharing the song on his Instagram page he and Natalie began to chat, kicking off an international collaboration between LA and Australia. Albeit in the middle of a pandemic and with limited options to travel. The idea was to create a dance performance with meaning, one that was uplifting and healing, after dealing with what has been been a crazy year. Shaun spoke about “getting connected” during the filming process and wanting to send a message of love and possitivity through movement. Natalie describes the song as being and open invitation to all of us to be more loving.
