On In Utero the bass in this song is mixed criminally low, it sounds like it's not even there. For learning this bass part and replicating it's tone, I used the instrumental demo, 2013 mix and live videos of this song for reference.

I had a lot fun mixing this cover when it came to the bass, I think the song sounds much more menacing when you can actually hear it!

Using my gorgeous 1995 Fender Jag-Stang. The Jag-Stang is the guitar Kurt Cobain personally designed with Fender. He cut in half pictures of a Jaguar and Mustang, pasted them together and said to Fender "Bulid this."

Mods to my Jag-Stang: Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker, Fender Texas Special neck pickup and locking tuners.

For bass, I am using my Ibanez Black Eagle 40th Anniversary reissue. Krist Novoselic used a Black Eagle throughout Nirvana's entire career, especially in the Bleach era.

Both were recorded with my Avid Eleven Rack. I am making presets for each song's clean and distorted tones for both the guitar and bass, trying to match the album tones as close as I can.
