Description
Despite many bumps and standstills along the way,... the inter-Korean joint industrial complex in Kaesong is operating at around 95 percent capacity.
But trouble could be brewing as North Korea is demanding a 10 percent raise for its workers at the complex.
The South's Kaesong Industrial District Management Committee says Pyongyang wants a five percent hike in pay for March, followed by another five percent raise in August.
The two sides originally agreed to limit annual increases in pay to a maximum of five percent.
The management committee says it will discuss the matter with South Korean companies in Kaesong on Wednesday.
