One Direction performed pretty early on in the AMAs show... and as expected, the guys sang their latest single, Story of My Life. If you're a Directioner, you were probably happy to see lots of on-air time for each of the five guys since it's a slower song for the group and they stayed towards the center of the stage for most of the performance. It seemed like Harry, Liam, Zayne, Niall and Louis were all really energized for the AMAs -- likely because this is a huge show and it's really reserved for the top of the top artists in the industry -- and it was really wonderful to see them perform live while the fans were shouting and cheering them on. We loved their sleek dressy outfits as well as the inviting, warm vibe overall. Fans were eager to see that the set-up was similar to 1D's recent performance of the song on The X Factor USA -- with a darker overall feel yet tons of lights on-stage -- and that's because it's so fitting for the song. I loved this AMA performance from One Direction. What did you think??
