Missy Elliot - Get Your Freak On drum remix. I was inspired to tackle this song after watching Matt Garstka (drummer of Animals As Leaders and musical genius) absolutely destroy this song. I gave it my best shot and, in the end, it's sloppy and very overplayed haha. I had fun though and that's just about all that counts.
Pop songs are fun to overplay. There's just so much room to throw in unnecessarily technical parts that you'd never actually hear in a song. This type of drumming is really only used in videos, talent shows, and maybe some instrumental music.
