To promote world peace during a time of war, we decided to arrange Bill Evan's beautiful and tranquil solo jazz piece, for piano 4-hands. Arrangement by Scott Meek, video editing by Clare Yuan, performed by The Meeks Duo.

Peace Piece is based on a repeating bass and chord pattern throughout the piece (a few bars break the pattern occasionally), with a freely improvised treble, beginning only on the white keys, but venturing into dissonant and colorful tonal territory starting at 3:54 with the addition of black keys. Peace returns at 6:13 as the music moves back to C major.

We filmed this at Alouette Lake on a weekday morning when there was nobody else around! We hope you enjoy this meditative music combined with nature imagery.
