This is quite an elaborate production number with dancers, fire, and Peggy Lee, with lots of red everywhere. Just love it! "Fever" was written in 1956 by Eddie Cooley and John Davenport. Peggy Lee's 1958 recording charted #5 on the R&B Billboard Chart, #5 on the UK's Singles Chart, and #8 On Billboards Hot 100.
