In anticipation of the World Premier of Steven Spielberg's new take on WSS BMHC Co-Artistic Director Bobby Sanabria and his mighty percussion section (Oreste Abrantes, Matthew Gonzalez, Takao Heisho and Bobby) from his MULTIVERSE BIG BAND give you the 411 demonstrating the 10 Afro-Caribbean rhythms that they used in the Jeremy Fletcher arrangement of GEE, OFFICER KRUPKE from the Grammy nominated, 2019 Jazz Journalists Association Album of the Year, WEST SIDE STORY REIMAGINED. They will demonstrate them in a traditional context and how they adapted them to modern/contemporary band performance in the Multiverse.
