Description
After the early summer heatwave we and the garden are desperate for the relief of rain. Some peoples sing for rain, maybe this song could work wonders too!
A good tune to establish the concept of 'down'. Let young children use shakers or bells and move them downwards as they sing.
This could also be sung as a round.

My new website https://riverofsong.uk/ is now officially launched ready for the new school year. It is still in its infancy but linked to my Singing games for children site which though functioning fine is a little creaky after 16 yrs - a little bit like me! The new site is hopefully a lot more user friendly and interactive. Do let me know what you think of it.

Pitter patter, pit pat,
Listen to the rain,
Falling in the garden,
Running down the pane.
Pitter patter, pit pat,
Where can be the sun?
Do you think it’s hiding,
Hiding just for fun?
Pitter patter, pit pat,
It was just a shower,
Washing all the green leaves,
Sprinkling every flower.
