Full of energy, harmonies and yes, ukulele. This 1925 song was a huge hit in the roaring 1920s. Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue is Song 070 in my ongoing song series of originals and covers with a vintage-vibe. Music by Ray Henderson and lyrics by Sam Lewis and Joe Young.

I've been making these song videos since the start of 2021 (2021 weekly, 2022 biweekly). Each video is a created by myself from the music arrangement, sound recording, artwork, visual recording and editing. I produce them over the course of 1 to 4 days depending on their complexity. No time to be precious; just joyously grasping inspiration and going for it. Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue was done in a day. However, the line drawn background and 1925 placard was worked on the night before. Thanks to my hubby for the mug shot concept. After creating 69 song videos I was feeling a bit drained on what fresh spin I could put on this bubbly jazz age tune.
