This video marks the beginning of a new series under the Phantasia project, a reimagining of classic video game soundtracks through the lens of Japanese jazz fusion. We begin with the legendary Pokémon Red & Blue, transforming its original score into a set of intricate, groove driven arrangements inspired by Japan’s golden era of jazz fusion in the late 70s and 80s.

In the past year, reimagining video game soundtracks through niche musical genres has quickly become a recognizable trend, especially across platforms like YouTube. In light of the recent drop in traffic on the Phantasia channel, we’ve decided to contribute our own interpretation of this format, as a way to sustain activity and continue supporting the broader vision of the project. By reaching new listeners, we aim to keep the channel alive while further developing the long-term narratives and releases that define the Phantasia universe.
