Pride and Prejudice (2005) based on Jane Austen's novel of the same name takes us to 19th century England, starring beautiful Keira Knightley as Liz in pursuit of Mr. Darcy.
I suspect maestro Dario Marianelli must have had a great time writing the score for this film. This is pastiche in the best sense of the word, conversations with 18th and 19th century composers. It's easy to hear the voices of Beethoven, Mozart and Händel joing in. Lightheartedly. A joy to play!
