Meet Erskine Hawkins III: Erskine is a top music director, producer, and pianist. He started playing gospel music at 13 and led bands by 14. He graduated from the University of North Texas as the first African-American in their Jazz Piano program. Erskine has directed music for Chrisette Michele and Zendaya, and toured with Eminem and Rihanna. He also plays keyboard and organ at the Potter's House Church in Dallas under Bishop T.D. Jakes. Erskine loves church music for its impact and stresses continuous learning. He advises musicians to ask questions, build a strong repertoire, and practice regularly.
