Hello! 😊
Here's the requested transcription of the Allman Brothers Band song "Ramblin' Man". This track comes from their 1973 album "Brothers and Sisters". The bass player on this track was Berry Oakley.
You can find this transcription at Muzento under the Intermediate - Learning Songs section.
I really enjoyed working on this song. Though I've never played this song, I've played danceable rock songs like this, and It took me back to the days of playing in a party/dance band. A tight band that sounds good, and a full dance floor....good times! :)
I think this song was probably played with a pick, but I didn't hear anything in his sound or the lines that made it necessary that I used a pick too...so I used my fingers :)
There are lots of different ways one could play this. I liked playing the Eb and high Ab on the 6th fret, so I based my position around that. I also found that it made for easy fingering in the solo section. Speaking of the solo section...it's very groovy and has lots of energy!
This will be good reading for syncopation. The solo section is full of it.
Keep a fairly light touch and make it danceable. It's a lot of fun to play!
