Description
Here's an excerpt from the epic 'Rex tua nolo munera', which features near the end of the first act of The Play of Daniel, in which Daniel describes the meaning of the writing on the wall which foretells doom for King Belshazzar. The play is pierced through with majestic songs like this, but also lively foot tappers as the tales progress - building up to the well known episode where Daniel finds himself in a lions' den.
We plan to keep working in this vein on a series of albums, all using the finely honed skills of the various musicians we have come to know and respect over the years. To support this, we have a fundraising profile on 'Buy me a Coffee' where those that subscribe can get access to production snippets and free copies of the CDs (or digital downloads) that emerge from the project - starting of course with the Ludus Danielis album.

Without our listeners, audience and supporters, none of our medieval music would be remotely possible as a means of making a sustainable living so thanks to you all from us Trouvere folks!
