Ulysses S. Owens, Jr. has brought to ETHEL many a groove and many a pocket. His writing for the multimedia show ETHEL's Documerica captured the life and energy of distinct groups brought together by their common labor and spiritual community. In Rhumba del Met, Ulysses and Kip share a midtempo Latin improvisation in which Ulysses brings some Gospel accentuation and Kip quotes "Softly, as in a Morning Sunrise". This performance premiered as part of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Balcony Bar from Home on July 10th, 2020.
