作曲者維克多．約翰遜（Victor C. Johnson，1978—），美國作曲家、指揮家、音樂教育家。畢業於德克薩斯大學阿靈頓分校（University of Texas at Arlington），主修音樂教育與管風琴。高中即首次發表合唱作品，迄今創作逾四百首合唱作品及聲樂獨唱、鋼琴曲等。

作詞者史蒂芬妮．瓦爾迪茲（Stephanie Valdez），美國創作歌手、前新聞記者。童年於亞利桑那州南部度過，青少年時期受鋼琴課與學校的創意寫作課程啟蒙，開始詞曲創作生涯，並經常於才藝秀中演出作品。

本曲充滿積極活力、節奏感強烈，展現不畏困難的意志與活潑朝氣，娓娓道出眾人之決心毅力，即使遭遇險阻，仍然一無所懼。隨著樂曲張力持續增加，歌聲愈發激昂，末段反覆「我們必將崛起！」並在高呼聲中為樂曲畫下驚嘆號！
