Description
"Heaven Knows" is a rock song performed by English rock singer Robert Plant. It was the first single to be released from his 1988 album Now and Zen. It reached number 33 on the UK singles chart and number 1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. It was Plant's third number-one rock song, following 1983's "Other Arms" and 1985's "Little by Little."
The song was written by keyboardists Phil Johnstone (who also co-produced Now and Zen) and David Barratt.
Plant's former Led Zeppelin bandmate Jimmy Page played the guitar solo on the song.
Lyrics
A brand new human being, razor sharp, all firm and tanned
All clean, all pure, with a thirty-second attention span
As the clock strikes twelve and we're ready for party games
You play blind man's buff and I'll play out charades
(Heaven knows) what kind of fool am I
(Heaven knows) why you take an eye for an eye
(Heaven knows) what comes over me
You were pumping iron as I was pumping irony
Now I find myself fully occupied and half alive
With your head, heart, arms and legs wrapped around my family pride
See the whites of their eyes then shoot
With all the romance of the Ton Ton Macoute
(Heaven knows) what kind of fool am I
Nothing will show as we're shedding our clothes
But then I suppose, anything goes, anything goes
But then I suppose that anything, anything goes
(Heaven knows heaven know)
(Heaven knows) what kind of fool am I
(Heaven knows) what comes over me
(Heaven knows) what kind of fool am I
Tell me please, please, please
(Heaven knows) what kind of fool am I
Music tuned to 432 Hz is softer and brighter, and is said to provide greater clarity and is easier on the ears. Meditation music tuned to 432 Hz is relaxing for the body and mind and also more harmonic and pleasant than 440 Hz which is the frequency that most of the modern day music we listen to is tuned at.
