Description
Start the Art is a digital gallery space without walls curated by punk folklorist, educator, drummer, and writer David Ensminger. This volume features the song "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash, re-imagined by SKAT, a short-lived early 1990's punk-art-ska band from Rockford, IL, featuring Ensminger (Insight, Hates, No Love Less), Erik (Air-ick) Byrne (Chernobyl Children, Reach-Arounds), and Weasel Walter (Chernobyl Children, Flying Luttenbachers, Cellular Chaos). This comes from a rough five-song basement recording, and the video is strewn with images of the rust belt city and music scene ephemera of the era.
