'May Tides' and 'Fairlight' were written as a pair of songs in a cathartic expression of regrowth and renewal. The pieces reflect the spring and summer cycles with an upbeat, warm and feel-good spirit. 'May Tides' is a composition in two parts, the first half setting the scene as seeds germinate, and the second half quoting the ebb and flow of the sea as the seasons shift. 'Fairlight' is an unashamed summer song, bright and uplifting with an almost anthemic quality.
